- Design, implement, and maintain advanced Cisco ACI data center and campus network solutions, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
- Integrate ACI with virtualization/container platforms (Red Hat OpenShift VMM, Cilium/Isovalent) and optimize RoCEv2 for high-performance workloads.
- Troubleshoot ACI fabric health, multi-tenant segmentation, endpoint learning, and contract issues.
- Develop and maintain detailed network documentation, operational standards, and procedures.
- Deploy and support Cisco Catalyst platforms and Software-Defined Access (SDA) architectures, including fabric-enabled wired and wireless networks.
- Manage authentication integrations, policy mapping, and assurance operations across SDA environments.
- Configure and administer Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for device administration, endpoint profiling, and policy enforcement.
- Integrate and support Cyber Vision for OT/IoT visibility and security, and lead Zero Trust identity-centric segmentation efforts.
- Deploy and manage network observability and analytics tools (ThousandEyes, DNA Spaces, Cyber Vision) for performance monitoring and reporting.
- Troubleshoot complex L2/L3 issues (VLANs, OSPF, BGP, STP, multicast) and implement Palo Alto Networks security solutions.
- Assist with modernization planning, platform upgrades, procurement, and statewide IT initiatives.
- Create and maintain architectural diagrams, runbooks, and asset inventories.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize coverage, policy enforcement, and network performance.
- Communicate technical information and insights to leadership and stakeholders.
- Significant hands-on experience with Cisco ACI and Catalyst platforms in production.
- Proficiency with core networking (TCP/IP, routing, switching, QoS, security).
- Experience with OpenShift VMM, Cilium/Isovalent, and Cisco ISE.
- Familiarity with observability tools (ThousandEyes, Cyber Vision, DNA Spaces).
- Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, mission-critical government environments.
- Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCIE) or equivalent experience.
- Experience with container networking, network automation (Python, Ansible, REST APIs).
- Familiarity with NIST frameworks, state cybersecurity, and large enterprise/state government networks.
- Palo Alto Networks certifications (PCCSA, PCNSA).
