Radiance Technologies, a rapidly growing 100% employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Senior Electrical Engineer to support a space payload R&D group. This individual will directly support the execution of design, development, integration and testing efforts of multiple space payload programs. The candidate will work as an individual contributor and within a diverse, multi-discipline engineering team, and will be responsible for supporting payload design, deriving electrical subsystem requirements, assisting with electrical subsystem test and requirements verification.

- Support system architecture development for space payload systems
- Design and analyze RF and electrical subsystems for space-based payloads, including transmit/receive chains, power systems, and signal processing hardware.
- Develop and validate RF link budgets, noise figures, and dynamic signal ranges to ensure system performance under mission conditions.
- Create electrical schematics, PCB layouts, wiring diagrams, and interface control documents (ICDs) to support system development and integration.
- Support system integration, testing, and verification activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams across multiple programs
- Identify risks, gaps, and deficiencies in electrical subsystem design and provide mitigation strategies
- Support and participate in program-level design reviews (e.g., SRR, PDR, CDR)
- Execute tasks independently while meeting aggressive schedules and program milestones
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
- Minimum of 7 years of Systems Engineering experience
- Experience generating engineering documentation and supporting requirement verification and close-out
- Knowledge of PCB design for high-frequency circuits
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience supporting programs across the full lifecycle (concept through delivery)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently on fast-paced projects with tight deadlines
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance
- Master’s degree in Systems Engineering or related engineering field
- 15 years of Systems Engineering experience
- Experience supporting space-based payloads or aerospace systems
- Experience identifying design review deficiencies and recommending mitigation approaches
- Hands-on test experience, including planning, execution, and data analysis
- Experience delivering complex aerospace hardware from concept to delivery
- Strong presentation skills with experience supporting technical design reviews
- Active SECRET clearance or higher
