**Overview:** We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our dentists and hygienists, while ensuring the highest level of patient care. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a positive impact in the field of general dentistry. **Duties:** - Assist the dentist and hygienist during procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient comfort and safety. - Prepare patients for exams and treatments, including cleaning and disinfecting the oral cavity. - Perform radiographs (x-rays) as directed by the dentist. - Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation of patient records. - Use electronic medical records software (Dentrix) to manage patient information. - Perform general administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and answering patient calls. - Participate in the upkeep of the dental office, including infection control measures. - Assist with pediatric and pediatric dental patients, providing a gentle and caring approach. - Operate medical imaging equipment to capture images of the oral cavity. - Demonstrate a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and infection control. - Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. **Skills:** - Proven experience in a dental setting with a focus on general dentistry. - Strong understanding of infection control procedures and protocols. - Familiarity with medical imaging equipment and HIPAA regulations. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Experience with electronic medical records software (Dentrix). - Ability to provide a high level of patient care and maintain a positive attitude. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Certification in pediatric dentistry and pediatric dental assisting is preferred.
