Job Summary
Radial is seeking a skilled and motivated Psychiatrist to join our New York Interventional Psychiatry practice, centered in Williamsburg and also serving our Midtown Manhattan location. This role is open to candidates at the clinical provider level as well as those with leadership experience or ambitions for a Medical Director role. For the right candidate, a Medical Director pathway is available — combining clinical oversight, research leadership, and strategic responsibilities across one of the most advanced psychiatric treatment platforms in the country.

Responsibilities
All Candidates — Core Clinical Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments with a primary focus on young adult and adult patients, with thorough documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans centered on Radial's interventional psychiatric modalities, supported by psychopharmacologic management and in close collaboration with the dedicated therapy team providing psychotherapy.
- Manage patient care with Radial's advanced interventional treatment portfolio, including: SAINT® TMS (fMRI-guided, achieving 79% remission rates in clinical trials — one of only 6 U.S. sites, and the only Northeast provider), BrainsWay dTMS, AMPA-One TMS, Spravato® (esketamine, for treatment-resistant depression and acute suicidal ideation), PRISM Neurofeedback (for PTSD and depression), GammaCore™ VNS, ProlivRx, and Monarch eTNS for ADHD.
- Engage in and support Radial's ongoing clinical research program in biomedical and pharmaceutical psychiatry, including active and pipeline initiatives involving Psyrin, Emobot, Cobenfy, prTMS with EEG guidance, transcranial focused ultrasound (tFUS), and FDA-pending psychedelic treatments in partnership with Compass.
- Collaborate closely with Radial's dedicated therapy team — grounded in Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT) and a structured psychodynamic framework — to deliver integrated, whole-person psychiatric care.
- Work in coordination with Radial's Care Navigator model, which supports patients through onboarding, insurance coordination, and care access — enabling clinicians to focus fully on clinical excellence.
- Lead crisis intervention and management in our outpatient setting.
- Maintain accurate medical records, intake notes, and progress reports in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives focused on diagnostic accuracy, treatment outcomes, and patient safety.
Medical Director Track — Additional Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership in Radial's New York office in Williamsburg (Brooklyn), overseeing psychiatric staff and ensuring adherence to best practices in diagnosis, treatment, and patient care.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment protocols across Radial's full interventional psychiatry portfolio, including SAINT®, dTMS, AMPA-One TMS, Spravato®, PRISM Neurofeedback, GammaCore™, ProlivRx, Monarch eTNS, and emerging modalities.
- Champion and expand Radial's clinical research program spanning biomedical and pharmaceutical psychiatry, including Psyrin, Emobot, Cobenfy, prTMS with EEG guidance, tFUS, and Compass psychedelic treatments (pending FDA approval).
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and outcome measurement across Radial's outpatient programs.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, HIPAA standards, and accreditation requirements.
- Promote staff development through training on Radial's treatment protocols, emerging psychiatric modalities, telehealth best practices, and documentation standards.
- Represent Radial as a national clinical leader, cultivating relationships with payors, insurance partners, pharmaceutical collaborators, and innovators in mental health.
- Collaborate with Radial's operational and executive leadership to support the growth and strategic direction of the practice.
- Serve as a clinical mentor and resource to psychiatric providers and allied health staff across the New York practice.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification (or board eligibility) in Psychiatry from an accredited program.
- Post-residency clinical experience in behavioral health settings, particularly focused on ambulatory care; expertise, experience, and/or comfort and clinical acumen in integrated care with addiction management is preferred.
- Primary clinical focus on young adult and adult populations; geriatric experience welcome; child and adolescent psychiatry experience a plus but not required.
- Genuine interest in or hands-on experience with advanced interventional psychiatric modalities — particularly TMS (SAINT®, dTMS, AMPA), Spravato®, neurostimulation, and neurofeedback; willingness to train on Radial's proprietary protocols.
- Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology principles and complex medication management.
- Openness to participating in clinical research and biomedical/pharmaceutical studies in psychiatry and brain medicine.
- Experience in crisis management protocols for acute psychiatric episodes.
- Familiarity with HIPAA-compliant medical documentation systems and behavioral health data collection tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective engagement with interdisciplinary teams, Care Navigators, research partners, payors, and community partners.
- Appreciation for and ability to work within a practice culture grounded in Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT) and structured psychodynamic principles, in close collaboration with an experienced therapy team.
- Prior experience in a Medical Director, clinical leadership, or supervisory role preferred.
- Ability to represent Radial credibly with payors, insurance partners, pharmaceutical collaborators, and national mental health innovators.
