Role Summary:
The Maintenance Tech I is responsible for minor repairs, assisting in maintenance, janitorial functions, and general duties.
The tech represents and follows outlined company guidelines for general work practices and performs assigned duties in accordance with proper safe work practices. The Maintenance Tech I, will assist Maintenance Tech II and Maintenance Tech III with the product flow and operational goals to effectively support the Fulfillment Operations.
Responsibilities:
Maintain facility and equipment for continuous operation and required repairs.
Responsible for minor repairs, assisting in maintenance, janitorial duties, and general duties as assigned.
Adhere to all safety/security procedures and applicable laws.
Cleaning and other Preventative Maintenance tasks for equipment including conveyor systems.
Repair of conveyor belts, motors, rollers, beds and guides.
Assist with facilities maintenance and repairs including electrical repairs, plumbing, lighting, roofing, HVAC, office furniture relocation, and other as needed or directed.
Assist with maintaining inventory of company supplied tools
Must be willing and able to be certified on powered industrial equipment
Working at heights of 40ft or more will be required.
Have a general knowledge of the operation of all equipment in the facility
Perform any and all duties assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
Follow all safety guidelines and work in a safe and alert manner.
Work various shifts and/or hours as needed to support the facility’s needs including overtime/weekends as needed or directed
May assist with front desk/building entry duties (answer phones, create/delete access badges, greet visitors)
Shipping/receiving/mail distribution
May manage conference/training room set up and breakdown
Other duties as instructed by management.
Qualifications:
Adept at analyzing and resolving mechanical and technical issues
Excellent hand and eye coordination skills
Ability to read, recognize, write, and follow applicable numbers and directives (verbal and written) in English
Command of basic math skills to ensure accurate inventory
Ability to maintain a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends as necessary
Command of safety procedures (including lock-out/tag-out)
Frequent bending, lifting, walking, pushing, pulling of freight, standing for long periods of time
Sometimes working in extreme temperatures
Safely utilize manual and electronic operated equipment to transport cartons or other items by means of pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying
High School Diploma or GED preferred. Will also consider experience and/or military service.
Knowledge in maintenance of equipment and facilities
0-2 years of experience in a maintenance capacity
AAS in an Engineering related field or experience in lieu of degree
Preferred prior experience and/or working Knowledge of Allen Bradley and/or Siemens products
Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Previous industry-based experience.
Must possess visual acuity to read fine print as needed.
Must be able to hear and understand verbal instructions.
Must possess capability to walk or stand for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
Must be able to push or pull carts of up to 200 pounds.
Must be able to climb stairs.
Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and grasp products.
Travel:
This position is not remote.
Travel is not required.

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. Must be available to work additional hours as needed.
