📄 Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery for a 13-week assignment in Pittsfield, MA. The ideal candidate will be skilled in providing comprehensive care to laboring patients, assisting with deliveries, and supporting mothers and newborns in a fast-paced L&D environment. This role requires strong clinical judgment, rapid decision-making, and the ability to function effectively within a collaborative team.
🧰 Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate care to laboring, delivering, and postpartum patients.
- Perform maternal and fetal assessments and respond promptly to changes in condition.
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and obstetric emergencies.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and interventions per provider orders.
- Collaborate closely with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and neonatal teams.
- Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, postpartum care, and newborn care.
- Document all care accurately in Meditech Expanse (strongly preferred).
- Uphold facility protocols and maintain a safe, supportive environment for mothers and infants.
📝 Submission Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- ACLS, NRP, and BLS certifications must be active and included in profile at submission
- Facility will not pend certifications upon offer
- Experience with Meditech Expanse strongly preferred
- Active RN license (MA or compact, if applicable)
- Ability to work night shifts consistently during the 13-week contract
