PAY: $70-$75/hr
Travelers Weekly Pay Package (More than 50 miles)
Weekly Tax Free Stipend to be paid: $1,617.00
Weekly Straight Pay (Taxable): $1,760.00
Weekly Gross: $3,377.00

Description:
The Inpatient Pharmacist provides clinical and distributive pharmacy services within a hospital setting. Responsible for verifying medication orders, ensuring safe medication use, and collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Review, verify, and interpret physician medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions
- Prepare, dispense, and compound medications—including IV admixtures, sterile products, and emergency medications
- Monitor patient therapy and provide clinical recommendations to optimize drug therapy
- Participate in patient care rounds and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
- Oversee medication distribution systems, automated dispensing cabinets (ADC), and inventory control
- Perform pharmacokinetic monitoring (e.g., vancomycin, aminoglycosides)
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state/federal regulations, USP <797>/<800> standards
- Educate nurses, providers, and patients on medication use and safety
- Assist with formulary management, medication reconciliation, and antimicrobial stewardship activities
- Document interventions and maintain accurate medication records in the EMR.
