Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians, promoting patients' comfort and well-being.
Duties
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any deviations from normal
- Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Provide wound care, injections, and other nursing procedures as needed
Qualifications
- Possess a current LPN license in good standing
- Experience in areas such as PICU, infectious disease care, or medical-surgical settings is preferred
- Knowledge of anatomy, body systems, medical imaging, ICD-9 coding, and discharge planning
- Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus
- Proficiency in phlebotomy techniques
