Job Title: HR Generalist
Location: Wake Forest, NC | Employment Type: Full-Time (In-office)
Range: $64,000-$68,000

Key Responsibilities:
Leave Management:
Administer and manage all types of employee leaves, including FMLA, ADA, and short-term disability across multiple states, ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations.
Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, guiding them through leave policies, documentation, and processes.
Track and manage leave balances with precision, ensuring timely and accurate processing of leave requests.
Employee Relations:
Act as a central point of contact for employee concerns, changes, conflict resolution, and ensuring a positive work environment.
Manage employee relations matters, including guiding Managers/Supervisors on addressing performance issues, conflict resolution, and conducting counseling sessions.
Lead separations and exits with care, conducting exit interviews and ensuring smooth offboarding.
Training & Development:
Design and implement impactful training programs, including leadership development for new managers/leaders.
Develop and expand tailored new hire training programs for various job functions.
Ensure employee education initiatives are aligned with organizational goals, with a focus on compliance and professional growth.
Employee Engagement:
Lead employee engagement efforts, including conducting surveys and implementing actionable solutions to improve satisfaction and retention.
Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture by developing programs to boost morale and team spirit.
Analyze engagement data and collaborate with leadership to drive continuous improvements.
HR Reporting & Metrics:
Collect, analyze, and report key HR data on training, turnover, and engagement surveys.
Use data-driven insights to enhance HR processes and report findings to leadership.
Leverage HRIS tools to guide decision-making in employee development, performance management, and compensation.
Multi-State Compliance:
Stay up-to-date on federal, state, and local labor laws, ensuring compliance with multi-state leave regulations and employee handbook consistency.
Provide guidance on employee handbook interpretation and updates.
Automation and AI Integration:
Collaborate on incorporating automation and AI into HR processes to enhance efficiency and compliance.
Other Duties:
Respond to employee inquiries via HR inbox, phone, and text messages.
Contribute to HR projects and company initiatives, including fun committee events and seminars.
Qualifications
HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in HR with a focus on multi-state leave management, employee relations, and training & development.
Proven experience managing multi-state leaves and handbooks, with a strong understanding of state-specific labor laws.
In-depth knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and other leave regulations across multiple states.
Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Experience with HRIS tools (e.g., ADP WFN) and reporting systems.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Excellent communication skills for engaging with employees at all levels.
Strategic thinking capabilities to contribute to long-term planning initiatives.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (9am-5pm).
This is an in-office position (non-remote).
