What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Construction Superintendent position at Radcliffe Keator Construction?
We need a commercial Superintendent who runs a clean, safe site and keeps the schedule moving. You are the person on the ground every day: subs, inspections, deliveries, quality. The PM has your back on paper; you have the job in your hands.
What you will do
• Run day-to-day operations on a ground-up commercial project (retail, grocery, restaurant, automotive, medical)
• Coordinate the subs and hold them to the schedule and the plans
• Schedule and pass inspections; know the inspectors and the AHJ
• Walk the site daily for safety and quality and fix what is wrong before it gets covered up
• Keep the daily log, photos and manpower counts current
• Manage deliveries, laydown and site logistics
• Work with the PM on the three-week look-ahead and flag problems early
• Punch the job out and hand it over to a happy owner
Must-haves
• 5 years as a superintendent on commercial ground-up projects
• Has delivered a job start to finish for a general contractor
• Knows Florida Building Code and the inspection process
• Can read plans and catch conflicts before they get built
• OSHA 30
• Valid driver's license and a clean record
• Communicates clearly with subs, inspectors, owners and the office
What we offer
• Salary based on experience
• Weekly pay
• Health insurance
• Paid time off
• A 20-person team where leadership is in the room, not in another state
