Medical Assistant
As a MA in the urgent care, you will be responsible for direct patient care and providing clinical support to providers. Duties include but not limited to the following: check patients in/out, verify insurance information, obtain patient medical history information, record vitals, room patients, stocking clinic with supplies, navigate electronic health record system, and answering phones. The MA will communicate with patients, providers, pharmacies and other staff in a respectful manner..
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
The following is a list of the major functions entailed with this job. However, at times, there may be various other tasks within clinic that are not listed below.
- Checking patient into clinic, including verifying insurance
- Perform patient histories, and collecting vitals, as needed
- Communicating with provider and pharmacies as needed
- Responsible for charting of pertinent information in Electronic Medical Record (EHR)
- Assist in other areas of Clinic as needed
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned
- Report to Practice Manager

VII. Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required:
High School Diploma. Experience in Medical facility, preferrably as a MA
