ABOUT US

E-commerce got real-time data infrastructure decades ago. Physical stores still have not. RADAR is changing that.

RADAR is building the data infrastructure layer for the physical world, starting with retail. Our hardware-enabled SaaS platform uses proprietary overhead sensors, software, and AI-powered analytics to locate every product in a store, continuously, down to the fixture. We are deployed across 1,400 stores with retailers including American Eagle Outfitters and Old Navy, processing tens of billions of real-world events every day, delivering 99% accuracy in complex, noisy environments - at fleet scale.

RADAR is one of the best-funded companies in retail technology, backed by a recent Series B financing at a $1 billion valuation. Inventory accuracy is only the beginning. We believe RADAR can become foundational infrastructure for the physical economy, powering new AI-driven commerce experiences across retail and beyond.

Join us if you want to work on a large, unsolved, technically challenging problem with an ambitious team building category-defining technology.

OUR VALUES

  • Mission-Driven: We're transforming retail with cutting-edge technology and building something that truly matters.
  • Collaborative Team: We thrive on curiosity, shared goals, and solving complex problems together.
  • High Impact: You’ll make meaningful contributions from day one and help shape the future of our product and company.
  • Clear Communication: We value honesty, humility, and respectful dialogue—everyone’s voice matters.
  • Balanced Lives: We work hard, but not at the expense of well-being. We respect time, boundaries, and life outside of work.
  • Diverse Perspectives: We believe better ideas come from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and viewpoints.
  • Empathy-Driven Design: We build with deep respect for our end users, listening closely to their feedback and needs.

ABOUT THE JOB

In Radar’s fast-paced “time to market is essential” environment, you'll own hardware quality across the full product lifecycle, spanning both NPI and sustaining programs. In this role you'll partner with external hardware suppliers, contract manufacturers, external third-party integrators, and internal cross-functional teams to quantify and continuously improve hardware build quality and reliability throughout the product lifecycle from concept, design, NPI, volume manufacturing, field returns, to end of life.

This is a hands-on position that combines process design, data management, test development, supplier audits, and cross-functional coordination. Strong knowledge of world-class electronics manufacturing practices is essential, electrical engineering background is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Process control: Use statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis to monitor production lines and prevent defects before they occur.
  • Root cause analysis & CAPA: Investigate product failures using structured methods such as 8D and fishbone analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Supplier quality: Work with the supply chain to ensure raw materials and components meet specified requirements.
  • Compliance & auditing: Ensure manufacturing facilities meet regulatory and industry-specific certifications (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • RMA disposition & monitoring: Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions on field-failure returns to proactively prevent future returns.
  • Continuous improvement: Feed failure and quality data from the factory and field back to the design engineering team to drive ongoing product improvements.

ABOUT YOU

Required:

  • 4 year degree in a technical field (prefer EE)
  • Technical knowledge: Manufacturing processes (Electronics and mechanical assembly, industrial automation, injection molding, box build, etc.) and the ability to read engineering drawings and schematics, including GD&T.
  • Problem-solving methodologies: Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and FMEA.
  • Communication: Able to bridge communication between production-floor operators, engineering, program management, functional management, and customers.
  • Documentation: Experience generating and managing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Corrective Action Requests (CARs), and First Article Inspections (FAIs).

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Complete onboarding and security compliance training.
  • Learn and be conversant on Radar’s system hardware, and RFID sensor majority components
  • Become familiar with current quality reporting tools used by Radar to track manufacturing yield, returned hardware metrics, as well as tools used by our contract manufacturing partner

In your first 60 days, you will:

  • Own monitoring and reporting on manufacturing yield and common failure modes
  • Direct and track the returned hardware intake, processing, and deposition workflow
  • Visit our contract manufacturing partner and engage with their quality team and engage with them on continuous improvement efforts and corrective actions

In your first 90 days, you will:

  • Lead communications with CM and supplier quality teams, including issuing and tracking corrective actions where appropriate
  • Begin to define, document, and implement best in class quality and continuous improvement programs at Radar and our CM partner
  • Drive outgoing supplier quality monitoring programs at OEM and custom component suppliers
