Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance to enhance their shopping experience
- Demonstrate product features through engaging product demos and answer customer questions with clarity and confidence
- Operate the cash register efficiently, handling retail sales transactions, cash handling, and cash drawer balancing with accuracy
- Upsell products by identifying customer needs and recommending complementary items to increase sales
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the store is visually appealing through effective merchandising techniques
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking supplies and conducting stock counts to ensure product availability
- Support team members in supervising store operations when needed, fostering a collaborative environment
- Open and close the store. Assume managers role when needed.
Experience
- Prior retail sales experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Keyholder experience is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations enhances your ability to serve customers efficiently
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for connecting with diverse customers
- Demonstrated ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory management
- Experience in supervising or leading small teams is advantageous but not mandatory; leadership qualities are valued
- Knowledge of retail store product lines and merchandising principles helps in delivering expert customer guidance
- Excellent phone etiquette, customer service skills, and basic math proficiency are essential for success in this role
