About the Role
This is a staff-level backend role for an engineer who can shape architecture, ship complex features, and raise the technical bar on a platform that directly powers the company’s mobile applications and browser extension.
The mandate combines hands-on execution with technical leadership: improving the underlying systems, partnering closely with product and design, and helping the broader engineering organization maintain a high standard for performance, security, and user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive technical decisions and architectural improvements across the backend platform supporting the mobile apps and browser extension.
- Implement complex features with a strong focus on performance, security, and product quality.
- Mentor and guide other engineers, contributing to a culture of technical excellence.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to deliver polished, user-centric experiences.
Core Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Go.
- Meaningful interest in — and ideally experience with — Ethereum, Web3, NFTs, DeFi, and their underlying systems.
- Experience building and supporting robust, secure, and scalable backend applications.
- Deep knowledge of systems design and API design.
- A security-conscious development mindset.
Bonus Skills
- Experience with AWS (including CloudFront, EKS, MSK, and SQS), Kubernetes, Kafka, Postgres, and Redis.
- Familiarity with TypeScript, GraphQL, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD.
Interview Process
- Initial conversation with a finance or business leader.
- GitHub review by the engineering team.
- Three technical interviews (45–60 minutes each) covering different technical topics.
