These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend on numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate skills, knowledge, and education.
Rack & Riddle Custom Wine Services, the #1 custom sparkling wine producer in the United States, is seeking to add a Skilled Line Tech to our team.
The responsibilities will include but are not limited to all phases of bottling line work from set up to clean up on any of our production lines (Tirage, Charmat, Canning, Disgorging, Still wine). This position will operate under general supervision performing general production tasks in an efficient, effective and safe manner.
Essential Res p onsibilities
Operate and respond to error codes on most bottling line equipment, such as De-palletizer, Disgorger, Filler, Wirehooder, Corker, Shaker, Washer, Neck Freezer, Case Packer, Case Sealer, Palletizer, Monoblock, and Foiler.
• Rotates between various functions on the bottling line, including those generally done by the General Line Techs.
• Participates in the set-up, changeover, and clean-up of the bottling lines.
• Assists with all facility clean-up activities.
• Uses downtime to proactively assist other team members with changeovers or cleanup.
• Assists in training less experienced employees as requested.
• Diligently adheres to all safety practices, SOP’s, and company policies.
• Supports other departments (Cellar, Warehouse, etc.) as needed and assigned by Management.
• Other tasks, on any production line, as assigned by Management.
Requirements
The successful candidate’s background includes:
· Previous experience on a production line.
· Basic math skills required.
· Ability to read and understand error messages on machinery.
· Previous experience with labelers and production machinery preferred but not required.
· Forklift experience preferred but not required.
· Must be punctual and maintain good attendance.
· Ability to learn and adapt to changing conditions.
· Ability to work safely and accurately in a fast-paced environment is required.
· Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and work at catwalk heights of 25 feet.
· Must be able to work nights, overtime, and weekends.
· Hours: Full Time (plus overtime).
· Ability to work individually and within a team to achieve daily production goals.
