acine Unified School District is hiring Summer Seasonal employees to support building and grounds operations during the summer months. Positions may include Painting, Cleaning, and Grounds Maintenance work across district facilities. These roles involve physical, hands-on work in both indoor and outdoor, non-air-conditioned environments.
Assignments will be based on district needs, experience, and availability.
Primary Duties May Include
Painting
- Surface preparation, painting, and clean-up
- Indoor and outdoor painting projects
- Working from ladders (approximately 6–8 feet)
- Performing work in non-air-conditioned environments
Summer Cleaning
- Labor-intensive cleaning of school buildings
- Repetitive cleaning tasks related to summer building preparation
- Working independently and as part of a team
Grounds Maintenance
- Operating lawn maintenance equipment
- Grass cutting, trimming, and basic landscaping
- Assisting grounds staff with general maintenance tasks
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation to travel between work sites
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to work efficiently and safely
- Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform repetitive hand motions
- Ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, and work from ladders
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Ability to work in hot and humid conditions
