Childcare Director

RCOC is a non profit organization in between Racine and Kenosha, right off Lake Michigan.

We need a Childcare Director for our childcare center. You will lead our daily tasks, guide our teachers, and keep a safe, fun space for children to learn and grow.

RCOCs mission is to serve children and families with special needs, and the child care center hosts about 50% children with varying diagnosed abilities in an inclusive setting.

What You'll Do

• Hire and train new staff members
• Plan fun and safe daily programs for kids using appropriate curriculums
• Talk with parents and answer their questions
• Complete tours and enrollment
• Make sure the center follows state licensing rules
• Plan staff meetings
• Work with Youngstar and licensing to maintain high standards
• Plan meals and complete ordering according to CACFP requirements
• Oversee the day to day operations for the program with the assistance of three assistant directors
• Work with children with special needs, developing plans so that they can be included in all center's activities.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in Early Childcare with a Level 12 on the WI Registry
• Two years of experience as a director or lead teacher
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Pass a state background check
• Pass a drug screen
• A passion to serve those with special needs
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge with microsoft word and outlook.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• Experience with bilingual programs
• Experience with CACFP, but can train
• Some knowledge, or passion for, non profits
• Ability to network
