Personal Lines Account Manager


The primary function of this role is to deliver exceptional service to our Personal Lines clients. This position is responsible for managing client accounts, processing policy changes, quoting and binding coverage, and ensuring accuracy in all client interactions. This role will foster strong relationships with clients and colleagues, contributing to a collaborative and client-focused environment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by providing guidance on insurance coverages, policy options, and pricing.
  • Manage day-to-day servicing of personal lines accounts, including policy changes, endorsements, renewals, and client inquiries.
  • Quote, market, and bind new and renewal business while ensuring all required documentation, inspections, and supporting materials are collected and processed accurately.
  • Review policy documents, audits, and carrier correspondence for accuracy, coordinating any necessary corrections with clients and insurance carriers.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all client communications and transactions within the agency management system.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, carriers, and internal team members.
  • Participate in team meetings, share knowledge, and support the training and development of colleagues as needed.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.


Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field preferred
  • Active Property & Casualty insurance license within state of business required
  • Minimum of 2 years of personal lines insurance experience
  • Prior account management experience within an independent agency or brokerage environment preferred
  • Experience with Applied Epic preferred; experience with other agency management systems will also be considered
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer service orientation
  • Professional, positive, and collaborative attitude
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check as permitted by law


Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm


Office Location: 18W140 Butterfield Road, Suite 100, Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181 (Hybrid Work Options)

Salary : $70,000 - $75,000
