Dock Laborer - 1st Shift
Rachael’s Food Corporation is a local food manufacturing company that takes pride in providing only the highest quality products to our customers, servicing the convenience store industry and colleges in New England. We presently have an opportunity available for a Dock Laborer at our Chicopee, MA location.
Summary:
Responsible for shipping and receiving, as well as maintaining inventory for all supplies on the dock. Experience in food safety is highly desired.
Primary responsibilities:
- Receiving of product shipment into the facility;
- Inspection of product coming in for any spoilage, damage and date of product;
- Accuracy of all inbound orders;
- Maintain all documentation for inbound orders (receiving docs, invoices, etc.);
- Assurance of signatures on all invoices for outbound pick up orders;
- Take instructions from Supervisors;
- Use of pallet-jack;
- Prepare supplies for daily production;
- Assist in preparing pallets for daily shipping;
- Maintain a clean work area;
- Report any quality control issues to your supervisor.
This is a full-time position. Work hours are Monday through Saturday; hours vary depending on daily requirements. You must be able to work in cold environment and able to stand throughout your shift. We offer an excellent benefit program and competitive wages.
