Job Overview
We are hiring a hands-on Cashier/Shift-Lead for our high-volume Raceway location in Southaven, MS. This is a fast-paced store with lean staffing, so efficiency, reliability, and leadership on the floor are critical. This is not a sit-back role—you will be actively running shifts, supporting your team in real time, and ensuring the store operates at a high level every day. You’ll work closely with management and play a key role in preparing the store for future growth, including an upcoming deli program.
Responsibilities
- Run shifts and ensure smooth daily operations
- Deliver fast, friendly, and consistent customer service
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation
- Keep shelves, coolers, and high-traffic areas fully stocked
- Handle cash management and ensure shift accountability
- Address customer and employee issues quickly and professionally
- Hold team members accountable and support performance improvement
Qualifications
- Reliable transportation
- Strong work ethic and accountability
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable leading by example and running shifts independently
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience in convenience store (Required for Lead Role)
