Cashier/Customer Service

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced grocery store environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. This role involves interacting with customers, processing transactions, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting with inquiries.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions accurately.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while maintaining accurate cash handling procedures.
• Upsell products and promote special offers to enhance sales opportunities.
• Assist in merchandising and stocking shelves to ensure product availability and presentation.
• Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about new items and promotions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and store environment.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve customer satisfaction.
• Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when addressing customer inquiries over the phone.

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred.
• Familiarity with basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Supervising experience is a plus, showcasing leadership capabilities within a team setting.
