Duties
- Greet customers and assess their automotive service needs.
- Provide detailed explanations of services and repairs required.
- Prepare accurate service estimates and invoices for customers.
- Upsell additional services based on customer needs and vehicle condition.
- Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Maintain customer records and follow up on service appointments.
- Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to service or repairs.
- Stay informed about new automotive technologies and service techniques.
Skills
- Dealership experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of automotive service processes.
- Proficiency in auto service management, including scheduling and workflow coordination.
- Experience in upselling services to enhance customer satisfaction and revenue.
- Background in mechanic work or automotive diagnostics is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, brake repair, transmissions, alignment, suspension, tire service, shocks & struts, air brake systems, diesel engine repair, and auto body repair.
- Familiarity with auto estimating and sales processes within the automotive industry.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Experience in service writing to document customer requests accurately.
