What are the responsibilities and job description for the Real Estate Intern (Summer 2026) position at RaceTrac?
As a Real Estate Intern at RaceTrac, you will gain hands-on experience supporting the real estate operations of a designated region. You will assist in research, analysis, and project support to help identify potential site acquisition opportunities, optimize existing store performance, and contribute to the company’s real estate growth strategy. This internship provides exposure to the negotiation, acquisition, and leasing processes while working closely with a Senior Real Estate Representative, Manager, or Senior Manager and cross-functional teams.

What You'll Do
- Conduct research for potential site acquisitions, including ownership, legal records, zoning, traffic data, permitting, and comparable sales.
- Assist with regional real estate activities, including site selection, land and building acquisitions, and leasing support.
- Support negotiation and preparation of agreements under the guidance of senior team members.
- Provide analyses of existing store performance and projections for new stores, recommending solutions to enhance profitability.
- Collaborate with landowners, brokers, developers, and city, county, and state officials to gather information about potential or existing sites.
- Monitor competitor growth and market trends to support strategic decision-making.
- Assist with departmental projects and initiatives as requested by leadership.
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s program in Real Estate, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- 0-1 years of experience or previous internship experience in real estate or a related field preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical, research, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
