What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Systems and Processes Analyst (Workday) position at RaceTrac?
The Financial Systems and Processes Analyst is responsible for supporting the Workday financial modules. This includes analyzing business requirements, configuring software, testing and documentation, and troubleshooting issues. The analyst will work closely with the various Accounting teams, HRIS, and IT departments, as well as external vendors to improve processes and enhance the overall performance of Workday as well as the processes within Accounting.

What You'll Do
- Assist in the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of Workday.
- Provide day-to-day support and troubleshooting for financial system users.
- Liaise with the HRIS and IT departments to ensure proper system integration and data flow across the platform.
- Collaborate with finance, accounting, and other departments to gather system requirements and business needs.
- Analyze financial processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications for system enhancements or customizations.
- Ensure that financial data is accurate, complete, and timely for reporting purposes.
- Develop, maintain, and improve financial reporting tools, dashboards, and financial models.
- Participate in the testing of system upgrades and new implementations.
- Identify and resolve system issues or inefficiencies, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Provide training and documentation for end-users on system updates and features.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (finance, IT, external vendors) to ensure smooth system integration and operations.
- Communicate system changes, improvements, and issues to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- 2 years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficient in data analysis, Excel
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
- Experience with Workday
- CPA license, preferred but not required
