Coordinator, Accounting/Finance


That's where you come in. Our Finance team is the engine behind Racepoint’s success, overseeing the financial health of the agency and its full portfolio of client engagements. Joining this team means gaining hands-on experience across the entire accounting and financial projection cycle, working directly with Finance leaders, and building a foundation for a long-term career in Finance. All within a collaborative, fast-moving agency environment.


As Coordinator, Accounting/Finance, you'll support all accounting and financial matters related to accounts payable and accounts receivable, while helping to ensure the agency's overall efficiency and financial health. This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate or early-stage career professional looking to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility.


ACCOUNTS PAYABLE:

  • Enter and process payments for vendor invoices and employee expense reports.
  • Route vendor invoices for approval.
  • Run the AP aging report weekly to keep payments current.
  • Maintain the weekly pay list and check run.
  • Request W-9s from new vendors and set them up in our finance platforms.
  • Manage the AP inbox and respond to vendors in a timely, professional manner.
  • Integrate AP invoices from various finance platforms.
  • Safely provide company credit card information to employees when purchase requests are approved and reconcile monthly statements with receipts.
  • Issue 1099s annually.
  • Escalate issues and tasks as needed.


ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE:

  • Generate client invoices for fees and expenses.
  • Route client invoices for approval prior to issuing.
  • Review executed contracts and track relevant revenue and billing information.
  • Prepare the monthly billing summary.
  • Maintain the AR inbox and respond to internal teams and clients promptly.
  • Run the AR aging report weekly and follow up with clients on outstanding invoices.
  • Process daily cash receipts.
  • Set up new clients in our finance platforms.
  • Maintain and update pass-through expense files.


MONTH-END & YEAR-END RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the Director, Finance, and the Vice President, Controller/Finance, with monthly general ledger closings, including preparing and entering journal entries.
  • Prepare cash reconciliations.
  • Maintain recurring journal entries and allocations.
  • Provide general accounting support to managers.
  • Assist with year-end audit requests from external auditors.


SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or applicable field of study.
  • 0–2 years of Finance or Accounting experience (internships count!).
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Experience with Great Plains and Projector is a bonus but not required.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and sharp attention to detail.
  • The ability to learn quickly, work independently, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • A genuine desire to be mentored, grow with the company, and take on expanding responsibilities over time.


Please note: We are only considering candidates currently based in the Boston area. This role follows a hybrid model, with a minimum of two days per week in-office and/or in-person opportunities for team collaboration, industry or networking events, and client or new business meetings. These expectations may evolve over time.
