What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Manager position at Race Rock?
Job Summary:
Responsible for the internal and external sales activity for a Hot Dip Galvanizing plant and works with operations to coordinate customer needs and expected delivery dates. This position will also work directly with the customer on pricing questions, material prep needs, lead-times and any other communications required during the processing of their products.
Majority of communications with the customers will be by phone or e-mail but traveling for in-person customer visits will be essential to build and maintain good relationships.
Duties Include:
- Answers phone calls as needed.
- Communicating with customers.
- Prepare production work orders for received product.
- Write-up BOL for finished product.
- Prepare required shipping information/documents.
- Coordinate customer pick-ups as needed.
- Tracking daily sales related to monthly forecasts and budgets.
- Work with operations to blend internal & external products into daily production.
- Assist with the collection of accounts receivable as required.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred
- 5 years of sales experience
- Excellent communication skills
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Computer skills
- Good organization skills
- General math skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Work with minimal supervision
Conditions of Employment:
- Successful candidate must submit to post offer, pre-employment physical examination/medical history check.
- Must have the ability to travel, mainly on day trips, rarely overnight.
Working conditions and physical effort:
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
- No or very limited physical effort required.
- No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
- Some business travel is expected.
