Job Overview
Apartment Maintenance Techs handle day-to-day maintenance for apartments, and other residential buildings. They’re responsible for responding to tenant requests and attending to regular cleaning and maintenance. Maintenance Techs also report larger issues to Property Managers .

Experience
- Working knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems
- An understanding of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems
- Strong troubleshooting abilities
- Effective time management
- Experience working with wrenches, screwdrivers, multimeters and drills
- Good customer service skills
- A basic understanding of building codes, such as accessible means of egress
