What are the responsibilities and job description for the Portfolio Analyst/Financial Planning Associate position at RABco Financial & Insurance Services?

RABCO Financial is a well-established financial services firm located in Pasadena since 1966. We are seeking an experienced, dependable, detail-oriented, tech savvy Financial Planning Associate for a full-time position. Specific financial services experience is required. You must have a solid understanding of financial planning, investment analysis, and FINRA regulations. Candidate will be part of a comprehensive team and will be responsible for the development of recommendations, assistance in the financial planning process and investment advisory support. The position requires working independently with critical thinking, discretion, and independent judgement to provide dynamic financial analyses and a robust array of investment solutions. You will not be responsible for generating new business.

Primary Responsibilities (but not limited to)

· Prepare financial analysis and assist in the implementation of financial plans

· Analyze overall investment portfolios and suggest portfolio enhancements or rebalancing

· Review, analyze and process goal modifications of current investment portfolios

· Collaborate with financial Advisor in selecting investment recommendations for model portfolios and sleeves

· Perform risk evaluation, cash flow and tax impact analysis and develop Investment Policy Statements

· Monitor portfolio variances between risk and investment objectives

· Analyze and select model portfolios that best fit client's risk tolerance, tax status, goals, and income needs

· Run portfolio illustrations and hypotheticals

· Update and maintain all financial models on as needed basis but no less than quarterly

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar field required

· Series 7 & 66 required or obtained within the first 6 months of employment

· Registered Paraplanner® or CFP designations/pursuing

· Strong proficiency in eMoney, Riskalyze, Envestnet, CRM (RedTail) preferred

· Solid background in financial services, the investment process, knowledge of compliance, and markets

· Strong analytical skills and detail oriented

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Exceptional interpersonal, organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to complete multiple time-sensitive tasks and priorities

· Fluent in Microsoft Excel and Word

· Superior level of professionalism and integrity

· 2 years’ experience desired
