Job Title: Workday Lead Technical Consultant
Location : Holmdel, NJ (3 days onsite)
Mode : Contract
Key Responsibilities:
· Workday HCM & Modules Management: Manage configuration and optimization of Core HR, Recruiting, and Advanced Compensation modules. Ensure workflows align with insurance industry needs and regulatory compliance.
· Workday Integrations Leadership: Design and maintain integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, and Cloud Connectors. Ensure secure, accurate data flow across internal and external HR systems.
· Workday Extend Development: Build custom applications using Workday Extend to address unique insurance business needs. Integrate with Workday modules and external systems following best practices.
· Advanced Compensation & Security Configuration: Administer complex compensation programs and annual cycles using Advanced Compensation. Manage Workday Security roles and policies to protect sensitive HR data.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration & Strategy: Partner with HR, IT, and compliance teams to align Workday solutions with business goals. Lead system upgrades, module rollouts, and promote platform best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
· Extensive Workday Experience: 6–10 years of hands-on experience with Workday HCM, including Integrations, Recruiting, Extend, and Advanced Compensation. Proven ability to configure and support complex HRIS environments.
· Workday Certifications: Preferred certifications in Workday HCM Core, Integrations, Extend, Recruiting, Advanced Compensation, and Security. These validate deep platform expertise and cross-functional configuration skills.
· Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, calculated fields, custom reports, and web services (SOAP/REST). Familiar with Workday Extend development and security frameworks.
· HR Domain & Process Knowledge: Strong grasp of HR operations including recruiting, onboarding, payroll, and compensation. Experienced in optimizing workflows and managing merit and bonus cycles.
· Analytical & Communication Skills: Adept at resolving complex system issues and translating business needs into scalable configurations. Effective communicator with leadership and project management experience.
Preferred Experience:
· Insurance Industry Experience: Prior experience in insurance or financial services is highly valued. Familiarity with industry-specific HR practices and compliance enables tailored Workday configurations.
· Module-Specific Expertise: Proven experience with key Workday modules like Advanced Compensation, Security, and Extend. Hands-on involvement in release management and feature rollouts is a strong asset.
· Integration & Technology Stack: Skilled in integrating Workday with payroll, benefits, finance, and identity systems. Experience with middleware tools and HRIS data governance enhances integration efficiency.
· Leadership in Workday Projects: Demonstrated leadership in Workday implementations and upgrades. Ability to guide teams, manage stakeholders, and drive platform optimization initiatives is essential.
