Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager with 11 years of experience leading complex, enterprise-level projects across the full software/business delivery lifecycle. The ideal candidate has strong command of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, proven experience managing large budgets and cross-functional teams, and the ability to communicate effectively with executive stakeholders while driving projects to on-time, on-budget completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end project delivery — initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure — for multiple concurrent projects.
- Define scope, objectives, timelines, and success criteria in partnership with business sponsors and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation models.
- Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues; manage change control processes.
- Run Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, standups, retrospectives) and/or manage Waterfall phase-gate delivery as required by the project.
- Act as the central liaison between business stakeholders, engineering/technical teams, vendors, and leadership.
- Deliver regular status reports, RAG dashboards, and milestone updates to senior leadership and clients.
- Manage vendor/third-party engagements, SOWs, and deliverable tracking.
- Oversee project budget, forecasting, and financial reporting (CapEx/OpEx).
- Lead change management and user adoption efforts for new tools, systems, or processes.
- Ensure governance, compliance, and quality standards are met throughout delivery.
- Mentor junior PMs, coordinators, and scrum masters.
- Conduct post-project reviews and document lessons learned.
Required Qualifications
- 11 years of IT/business project management experience, including 5 years on large-scale enterprise projects.
- Bachelor's degree (Computer Science, Business, or related field); Master's preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience with Agile (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe) and Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience managing project budgets in the $1M–$10M range.
- Proficiency with MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar PM tools.
- Solid understanding of SDLC, requirements gathering, UAT, and go-live/cutover planning.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and executive communication skills.
- Experience managing cross-functional, onshore/offshore distributed teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or SAFe Agilist certification (PMP strongly preferred).
- Domain experience in [Banking/Healthcare/Insurance/Retail/Telecom — tailor as needed].
- ERP implementation experience (SAP, Oracle, Workday) or large digital transformation programs.
- Cloud migration exposure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Six Sigma / Lean certification a plus.
