Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload goods using appropriate manual handling techniques, heavy lifting skills, and equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary
- Pack items securely to prevent damage during transit, ensuring all belongings are handled with care
- Assist with moving furniture and boxes in residential or commercial settings, demonstrating strong moving skills
- Operate various vehicles including box trucks for local route driving and deliveries
- Load, secure, and unload cargo efficiently while maintaining safety protocols during all phases of transportation
- Support delivery drivers with route driving tasks, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs in accordance with schedules
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in storage areas, packing stations, and delivery vehicles to promote safety and efficiency
Qualifications
- Prior experience in warehouse work or moving services is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
- Experience with commercial driving, including box trucks or driver roles, is a plus
- Familiarity with delivery driver responsibilities such as route driving and load & unload procedures
- Knowledge of warehouse equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with clients during deliveries or moves
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
