What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laboratory Technician position at R2H Flavor Technology LLC?
We are seeking a skilled laboratory technician to join our growing team. In this position, you will test samples and products to maintain health and quality control. Experience in laboratory experience preferred.
Laboratory Technician Requirements and Qualifications
- Strong math and computer skills
- Strong knowledge of analytical techniques, understanding of proper chemical handling, use, storage and disposal preferred
- Working experience operating laboratory equipment preferred
- Comfortable handling potentially dangerous substances (flammable liquids, biohazards, etc.)
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and database systems.
- Ability to work both autonomously and as a member of a team, sometimes under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
- Analytical skills
Responsibilities
- Testing, sampling, monitoring activities before during and after completion of all processes to ensure that products comply with regulatory standards, GMP and customer expectation for product quality and safety
- Perform laboratory tests on product samples following established methods and procedures.
- Inspection of raw materials, packaging, in-process and finished product to defined specifications as per area of responsibility
- Gather, prepare, analyze and record data to ensure compliance with good manufacturing, safety, food safety and quality assurance practices
- Calibrate and troubleshoot lab equipment daily
- Measure, package, and ship samples for customers
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and overall lab setting
- Other duties as assigned by Lab
Experience in the food production industry or in a related quality or laboratory field preferred.
