Job Summary:
The Compounder is responsible for accurately weighing, measuring, and blending raw materials used in the manufacturing process. This role requires strict adherence to safety, quality, and production standards. The Compounder will work closely with the Quality Assurance and Production teams to ensure all batches are produced according to formulation and company guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Weigh and mix raw materials following precise formulas and batch sheets
- Operate blending, mixing, and other compounding equipment safely and efficiently
- Verify raw materials using barcodes or lot numbers and ensure correct inventory usage
- Maintain accurate batch records and logs in accordance with GMP or company standards
- Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas as per SOPs
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE
- Perform in-process testing (e.g., viscosity, pH, etc.) if required
- Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating materials in the warehouse
- Report any deviations or quality issues to the supervisor immediately
- Participate in routine inventory counts and material tracking
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- 1–2 years of experience in a compounding, chemical mixing, or manufacturing environment preferred
- Ability to read and understand batch sheets, SOPs, and safety instructions
- Good math and measurement skills
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
- Familiarity with warehouse systems or ERP software is a plus
- Forklift certification is an advantage
- Exceptional attention to operational detail and quality control
Work Environment:
- Exposure to chemical odors, noise, and temperature variations
- Use of safety gear including gloves, goggles, and masks
- Fast-paced warehouse or production setting
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
