Key Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from initial buy through in-season replenishment to end-of-season markdowns.
- Build a well-balanced assortment by sourcing, selecting, and procuring products that align with consumer demand and DTC inventory goals.
- Drive favourable vendor terms through strong negotiation on pricing, payment terms, and delivery timelines.
- Track KPIs (sales, margin, and supply)
- Bring performance insights and strategic recommendations to leadership, flagging both opportunities and risks along the way.
- Shape and execute a buying strategy.
- Stay ahead of the market by researching consumer trends, competitor moves, and emerging product innovation to guide purchasing decisions.
- Work cross-functionally with Finance, Planning, and Merchandising to build seasonal and annual budgets and sales forecasts.
- Mentor and train junior buyers.
Qualifications:
- 6 years of buying and sourcing experience.
- 2 years in a Direct-to-Consumer eCommerce setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a relevant field.
- Proven track record with managing OTB in retail.
- Strong excel skills.
- *SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite experience is preferred*
