Med Mal Paralegal - VA

One of our favorite law firm clients is looking for a Paralegal with Virginia dental (preferred) and/or medical malpractice background to join its Medical Malpractice/Personal Injury Department. This position is located in their Northern VA office (Metro accessible).Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Drafts and reviews letters, court correspondence, pleadings, motions, discovery requests, discovery responses, expert designations and case filings.Schedules depositions, meetings, and court appearancesConducts legal and background researchTracks and maintains an organized log of case expenses and client medical costs, as well as the due dates of discovery responses and motion responses, statutes of limitations, expert designation, hearing dates and trial datesQualifications and Skills:A bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate or equivalent experience.3-5 years of relevant VA dental (preferred) or medical malpractice litigation experienceProven legal research skills; proficiency with legal research platforms such as LexisNexis is preferred Solid compensation ($80- 120K) plus great benefits including health insurance.
