GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTIONWe are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our team at our Honey Brook and Morgantown, PA locations. This position is responsible for providing day-to-day quality engineering support within our General Fabrication, ASME Section VIII, and NQA-1 markets. This position will play an integral role in the growth and improvement of the RVII organization through elevating first pass quality, increased project throughput, on-time delivery, and project expectations.DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITESProvide technical support to RVII manufacturing facilitiesSupports gathering and presenting key KPI measurements to the organizationParticipate in pre-job contract review.Develop and implement inspection and test plans for manufactured and purchased componentsInterface with vendors to ensure timely resolution of Quality non-conformancesConduct internal quality system process auditsCoordinate and host outside inspection agencies and customer inspectorsPrepare, revise, and implant Quality System procedures, policies, and work instructionsConceptualize and analyze designs to ensure technical outcomes are consistent with customer and company specificationsPerform non-destructive and dimensional inspections in accordance with approved procedures, customer specifications, and governing codes.Maintain control and maintain an inventory of non-conforming products.Review contracts to determine deliverables and ensure compliance with specificationsPlan, schedule, and coordinate NDE Inspection activities daily in conjunction with the manufacturing department.Maintain adherence with all M&TE requirements, testing requirements, and proceduresSKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS NDE (Non-Destructive Evaluation) qualifications – minimum of Level II in VT/MT/PT/BLT/UT-TMust possess a valid American Welding Society – Certified Welding Inspector credentialMust have advanced knowledge of ASME Y14.5 specificationMust have fundamental knowledge of ASME Sections VIII and VPrior experience with ASME NQA-1 and 10CFR50 Appendix B preferred Ability to work independently and direct coworkersBachelor’s degree in engineering or quality related field with 2 years of experience or 10 years in Quality Control roleStrong verbal and written communication skillsSelf-motivated with attention to detail and accurate reportingProficient in MS Office suite productsEDUCATIONAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSTwo- or four-year college degree or relevant experience in inspection activitiesEveryday bending, crouching, stooping, standing, and overhead reachingEveryday exposure to moving machinery, dust, dirt, grease or other disagreeable elementsLifting up to 50-75 lbs.Must be able to pass and complete a physical assessmentMust be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodationR-V Industries, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.R-V Industries, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.Monday-Thursday6:00 am - 4:00 pm
