Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead the design, modernization, and governance of enterprise data platforms. This role will drive AWS-based modernization, architect modern data solutions, and ensure seamless integration across SQL Server, NoSQL, Big Data platforms, and BizTalk-based integration landscapes. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong architectural vision and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead data architecture strategy for cloud and hybrid environments, with a strong focus on AWS modernization.
- Design and implement modern data architectures, including data lakes, lakehouses, and cloud-native data platforms.
- Architect and optimize SQL Server environments for performance, scalability, and high availability.
- Design and govern NoSQL solutions (e.g., DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cosmos DB) for high-volume, low-latency workloads.
- Build and manage Big Data ecosystems using platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, AWS EMR, Redshift, and Athena.
- Define data integration patterns leveraging BizTalk and modern integration tools (API-based, event-driven architectures).
- Establish data governance, security, lineage, and compliance frameworks across all data platforms.
- Partner with application, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure aligned architectural decisions.
- Lead modernization initiatives, including legacy-to-cloud migrations and platform re-engineering.
- Create architecture standards, reference models, and technical roadmaps for enterprise data platforms.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 8 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or platform architecture roles.
- Strong hands-on expertise in AWS data services (S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena, EMR, Lake Formation).
- Advanced knowledge of SQL Server architecture, performance tuning.
- Proven experience designing and implementing modern data architectures (data mesh, lakehouse, streaming pipelines).
- Strong background with NoSQL databases and distributed data systems.
- Experience working with Big Data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).
- Working knowledge of BizTalk for enterprise integration and system interoperability.
- Strong understanding of data security, governance, and regulatory compliance.
