Mechanic

$30 per hour

We are looking for a supervisor for our night shift to work Monday-Friday 5:00 pm to 1:00 am. This position will need to be able to supervise, advise and instruct others.

Job Requirements

• Repair or replace worn parts and systems, to include both large and small truck repairs
• Completing preventative maintenance on vehicles, such as performing oil changes, rotating tire, flushing and replacing fluids and replacing brakes.
• Follow checklists to ensure thorough examination of all parts and systems
• Generating timelines and estimates for repairs and discussing options with company management
• Inspecting internal systems and controls to ensure the vehicle is operating properly and in compliance with federal and state regulations
• Maintaining accurate records relating to jobs, vehicles, parts and service history
• Using shop equipment as instructed
• Engaging in learning opportunities to update job knowledge and technical skills
• Able to communicate efficiently with other mechanics

Mechanic Requirements:

• Proven ability to diagnosse and repair vehicles and follow safety instructions and directions
• Excellent active listening, problem solving and communication skills
• Self-motivated, independent and reliable with a strong work ethic
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of a post-secondary program in automotive service technology a plus
• ASE Certification(s) a plus
• Tools are a plus
• Experience with electronic systems maintenance and repair
• Basic computer skills required
• Strong communication skills
• Physical strength and stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Additional education, certifications or experience is generally preferred
• Capable of driving a step-van sized vehicle

Pay: $30.00 per hour
