Position Overview
R&S Manufacturing & Sales is seeking an experienced Turret Punch Press Operator to take ownership of our sheet metal punching operations. This role is responsible for operating our Amada AE2610NT-T45 turret punch press while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and quality in the production of roof accessories for commercial construction.
This is a hands-on leadership role. The right candidate will set the standard for organization, material control, and machine performance, while supporting the broader production team in meeting output and quality goals.

Hours
M-Th 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Fri 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM
Essential Job Functions
- Operate the Amada AE2610NT-T45 turret punch press safely and efficiently
- Read / interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders to produce accurate parts
- Ensure proper material selection, tracking, and usage through shop floor systems
- Maintain organized workflow to support efficient production and minimize errors
- Monitor scrap and implement practices to reduce waste and improve yield
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues to reduce downtime
- Maintain consistent quality standards and verify finished parts meet specifications
- Coordinate with production, engineering, and leadership teams to meet production schedules
- Support continuous improvement efforts in setup, workflow, and machine utilization
- Lead by example in safety, accountability, and attention to detail
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating a turret punch press or laser sheet metal system
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience working with sheet metal materials (aluminum preferred)
- Solid understanding of machine setup, tooling, and basic maintenance
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Comfortable using shop floor or ERP systems for material tracking
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Commitment to safety and adherence to company procedures
