Carrier Sales Manager

Position Summary:

Entourage Freight Solutions, an umbrella company of R.S. Hanline, is seeking a Carrier Sales Manager to work in a third-party logistics/truck brokerage environment. This person will lead and manage the carrier sales team that consists of 8 members.

Responsibilities:

• Lead hiring and onboarding/training of new Carrier Sales Reps.
• Propose and implement strategic plans to improve efficiency for the Carrier Sales Team.
• Point person for escalation with carriers, late fees, on road issues, etc.
• Provide leadership and support to the team regarding all TMS (Mcleod) operations.
• Provide coaching to the team in areas of expertise, forecasting, carrier management, planning, etc.
• Accountable for the company hitting yearly goals, loads, margin, margin %, etc.
• Drive company culture and direction
• Build carrier sales budgets based off the company budget. Monitoring weekly and holding team accountable to their budgets.
• Liaise to Carrier Development in pricing and execution of carrier usage.
• Define, communicate, and implement KPIs for the Carrier Sales team.

Qualifications:

• 2-5 Years of experience in Sales, Logistics, Transportation, Produce, or Freight Brokerage preferred
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college preferred
• Strategic thinking and analytical skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Effective negotiation skills
• Attention to detail/accuracy
• Must be a self-starter, self-motivated, and resilient
• Excellent customer service skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to navigate a TMS System
• Collaborative; able to work effectively in a team-environment.
