Metal Fabricator Shop Supervisor
(Fabrication of Stainless-Steel Conveyors)
You will oversee staff to coordinate the needed tasks during the day, also keep track of inventory and jobs to decide which tasks/jobs need to be addressed first. The ability to read and interpreting engineering blueprints. You will need previous experience in management (minimum of at least 2 years). This job will include operating forklift, scissor lift, and other equipment on a day-to-day basis (Vibratory Tumblers, Welders, Mill, Iron Worker, Saws, Shears, ect).
To ensure success as a metal fabricator, you should have advance knowledge of Stainless-Steel metal work, a good eye for detail, and mathematical skills. Ultimately, a top-class metal fabricator expertly constructs high -quality products to exact specifications.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assigns work to departmental personnel to attain department objectives using knowledge of production processes, company policies, production schedules, work schedules, work orders, equipment capacity and equipment capacity and employee capabilities.
- Readily perceives and effectively responds to schedules and product flows essential to supervising productive, cost-effective, quality-oriented manufacturing operations.
- Establishes and controls procedures to meet production schedules.
- Recommends and initiates improvements to production processes, to increase manufacturing efficiency.
- Establish and control procedures to ensure production of conforming fabricated assembly components.
- Monitors and controls established procedures to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Responsible for compliance with safety and housekeeping requirements.
- Provides training, support, direction and guidance to department personnel to continually develop their work habits, job skills and safety practices.
- Evaluates employee performance and accountability.
- Provides objective feedback for continues employee growth.
- Set department goals and develop outline for achievement.
- May be exposed to noise, welding gases and fumes.
- To work overtime as requested.
- Performs other duties assigned
- Ability to manipulate tools and assembly components involving fine and gross motor skills sufficient to demonstrate welding job tasks.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, kneel, twist, pull, push, grip, and climb.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
