Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers and commercial trucks, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, on diverse routes such as OTR and local deliveries
- Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper manual handling techniques are followed to prevent damage or injury
- Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), and hazardous materials regulations during transportation and cargo handling
- Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods in accordance with hazardous materials regulations
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in compliance with DOT regulations
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety standards are met
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with necessary endorsements for the type of vehicle operated (e.g., hazmat, tanker) must have 2 or more years driving experience
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving with freight handling responsibilities
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tanker trucks, and automobile transportation is preferred
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazard communication procedures, and safety protocols for truck loading/unloading and manual handling
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and efficiently
- Strong navigational skills utilizing GPS systems for route planning across diverse terrains
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with DOT regulations
- Physical ability to load/unload freight manually when required; capable of lifting heavy cargo safely
