R&M Lawncare & Landscaping LLC is hiring a seasonal Mowing Crew Leader in Richmond, Indiana. This is a hands-on position leading a small crew that maintains residential and rental properties. We are looking for someone who can organize the day’s work, keep the crew moving, and deliver consistent results without constant supervision.
Pay: $18–$20 per hour, based on experience.
Schedule: Spring work may begin in March. The main mowing season runs April through October, with approximately 25–35 hours per week during the mowing season. Hours vary with weather and workload. Fall cleanup and landscaping work may also be available.
Responsibilities:
- Lead one or two helpers on a daily route of customer properties.
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and make sure scheduled work is completed to our standards.
- Perform mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, and general property cleanup alongside the crew.
- Drive a company truck and operate commercial lawn-care equipment safely.
- Train helpers in proper equipment use, safe work practices, and quality expectations.
- Record work hours accurately, submit required job photos, and report property issues or schedule delays to the owners.
- Keep the truck and equipment organized; report maintenance needs and low supplies.
Qualifications:
- At least 18 years old, with a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets our insurance requirements.
- Hands-on experience with commercial mowing and handheld equipment.
- Experience leading a crew or clear evidence that you can organize and direct a small team.
- Dependable attendance, good communication, and attention to detail.
- Reliable transportation to our starting location in Richmond.
- Ability to perform physical outdoor work in changing weather.
