Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Dietitian to join our healthcare team and provide specialized nutritional care for patients with chronic kidney disease and other renal conditions. Newly licensed dietitians with a passion for renal nutrition are encouraged to apply!
Qualifications:
- Current registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND).
- RD License to practice in California.
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association).
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in any healthcare setting
- Strong ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans for patients with renal disease.
- Provide medical nutrition therapy to manage conditions such as CKD, dialysis, hypertension, and diabetes.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to support patient care and treatment outcomes.
- Counsel patients and families on diet modifications, fluid restrictions, and phosphorus/potassium management.
- Educate food service and clinical staff on renal diet guidelines and menu planning.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations, including infection control and food safety standards.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, progress notes, and reports.
