We are seeking a qualified Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide comprehensive mental health services within correctional facilities in California. This role involves working with a diverse patient population, delivering assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and ongoing care in a structured and secure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial mental health evaluations, including psychological and substance use history
- Perform suicide risk assessments and crisis intervention
- Provide individual and group psychotherapy
- Conduct Mental Status Exams (MSE)
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Document all clinical services and maintain accurate records
- Monitor patient progress and update treatment plans accordingly
- Participate in Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IDTT) meetings
- Collaborate with healthcare staff and correctional teams
- Assist patients with community resources, benefits (SSI), and transition planning
- Provide mental health education and support services
- Prepare clinical reports and documentation for internal teams and hearings
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality laws and mandated reporting requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active California LCSW License
- Minimum 12 months of continuous experience within the last 3 years (internship not counted)
- Experience in mental health evaluation, crisis intervention, and treatment planning
- Ability to work in a correctional or institutional setting
