Licensed Massage Therapist

Golden Ocala, a prestigious private country club, is seeking an experienced licensed massage therapist.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Stay current on the latest thinking pertinent to the department and become well-versed and trained in its application
• Prepare massage equipment and supplies daily as directed
• Maintain supply and treatment areas as directed
• Ensure a pleasant visit for each guest and maintain effective guest relations
• Be a patient, courteous listener, and practice discretion
• Be knowledgeable about all spa protocols and procedures
• Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the massage and body treatment areas and spa facilities
• Report for scheduled shifts promptly and be prepared for work
• Work cooperatively and professionally with all departments
• Perform Massage Therapy treatments after a proper assessment of the spa guests’ needs

Requirements:

• Current license/certification in massage therapy
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, congenial personality is a must
• Ability to work in a high-volume, busy service environment while maintaining composure and focus on the guest
• High School diploma or equivalent
• One year’s experience providing massage services in a high-end salon or luxury spa environment preferred
• Proficient in all components of massage therapy, e.g., anatomy, physiology, body mechanics and various types of massage such as Swedish and deep tissue
• Must be able to perform four consecutive massages
• Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
