Position Summary
The Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing daily on-site operations of construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards and regulations. This role serves as the primary point of coordination between subcontractors, project managers, and field personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all on-site construction activities from start to completion
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, vendors, and deliveries
- Ensure projects adhere to plans, specifications, and building codes
- Maintain project schedules and proactively address delays
- Enforce safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality
- Manage site logistics, including materials, equipment, and workforce
- Communicate regularly with project managers, clients, and stakeholders
- Maintain daily reports, logs, and documentation of site activities
- Resolve conflicts, field issues, and unforeseen challenges
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
- 5 years of construction experience, with supervisory experience required
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Skills
- OSHA 30 certification

Compensation
