What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver Assistant position at R&K Distributors, Inc.?
Delivery Assistant:
Assist the route driver with all activities in delivery of product.
- Product freshness
- Product rotation
- Proper and safe unloading, handling, and storing merchandise on customer property
- Assist route driver with vehicle maintenance, including cleaning truck inside and out on a weekly basis
The delivery assistant starts around 5AM (depending on the route) and the shift ends once all the product on the truck has been delivered and the truck, any extra items, and paperwork has returned to the warehouse. The shift is typically between 8-10 hours per day. This can be more or less depending on the amount of product being delivered that day.
