Field Sampling Technician

As a Field Sampling Technician, your essential functions will be to:

• Perform field sampling including drinking water, wastewater, and grease trap sampling. This includes but is not limited to using handheld meters to take field readings.
• Transport environmental samples, supplies, and other materials to the appropriate destination in a safe and timely manner based on a predetermined route.
• Review, sign, and retain chain of custody ensuring it is correct and complete. This includes verifying sample bottle labels line up to the documentation provided.
• Operate an RI Analytical company vehicle safely while maintaining a valid driver’s license and driving record within company guidelines.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and be customer service oriented.
• Communicate issues or concerns in a timely manner to the Team Lead.
• Maintain and promote a clean, organized, and functional working environment, including company owned vehicles.
• Unload samples upon arrival to the laboratory daily.
• Complete and submit weekly vehicle maintenance forms.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures relevant to your essential functions.
• Adhere to R.I. Analytical’s Chemical Hygiene Plan, Code of Ethics, and other policies defined in the Quality Manual and Employee Handbook.
• Other duties as assigned by the Team Lead or senior laboratory management.

Qualifications for this role are as follows:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• This is an entry level position. An environmental background is preferred, but not required.

Requirements:

• Ability to pass a BCI Check and Driving Record Check.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Ability to lift and move manhole covers up to 75 lbs.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
