What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanic - Commercial Heavy Equipment position at R.H. White Construction?
Position Summary:
The Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing company fleet vehicles and equipment.
Hiring Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Four years' experience in vehicle maintenance and/or as construction equipment maintenance with technical training in heavy equipment repair and operation or equivalent combinations of technical training and experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card.
- Ability to read and write English.
- OSHA 10 Certification, or ability to obtain.
- Must possess practical knowledge of the function, operation, and maintenance of vehicle/construction equipment.
- Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy; follow instructions
- Must possess a valid unrestricted Driver's License.
- Ability to obtain a CDL license within 12 months of employment.
